We love celebrities because they spread the message about the power of the American Dream. They are a worldwide display of what human beings can accomplish. Joy can spring from simply seeing the abundance in others, and it can help cultivate our own sense of hope. Faced with our daily challenges, it can be hard to feel grateful in the midst of debt, depression and other problems. The five stars below give us a glimpse at brighter side of life:
1) Tim Tebow
Critics of Tim Tebow say that the former Florida Gator not ready for the NFL. But Tebow “brought the 1-4 Broncos all the way back to .500 after four wins in his first five starts and is doing so in the face of a football world that is eager to mock his unorthodox everything if it ever fails,” writes Yahoo! sports writer Chris Chase. Tim Tebow can be a great NFL quarterback.
2) Justin Beiber
Some text messages have emerged which, if verified as real, will practically prove that the the whole “Justin Bieber is the father” allegations by Mariah Yeater are just a sleazy scheme to make money.
According to Daniel Kreps of Amplifier, the texts TMZ has uncovered clearly point out that “Robbie,” a Yeater ex-boyfriend, is the father of Tristyn, not Justin. It will be interesting to see what happens when Robbie” emerges with his side of the story. But for now, Beiber and his lawyers can smile a bit more brightly over the Turkey this Thanksgiving.
3) Herman Cain
Presidential candidate Herman Cain will receive protection from the United States Secret Service, the agency told CNN. Cain will be the first candidate in the race for the Republican presidential nomination in the 2012 election cycle to be placed under official protection. The Cain campaign requested the security, and must have had a good reason for doing so. With recent news about violence aimed at elected officials and candidates, it is safe to say the Republican “anti-Obama” is feeling thankful.
4) Mariah Carey
Thanksgiving is not all about stuffing, for Mariah Carey. The 42 year-old singer is showing off her hot post-baby body six months after giving birth to a baby. Her new slimmed down look brings back Mariah’s signature curves, skin-tight dresses and stilettos. After Carey and her husband Nick Canon welcomed twins Moroccan and Monroe Cannon, the pop diva dropped serious pounds on the Jenny Diet Plan (formerly Jenny Craig).
5) Niki Taylor:
Niki Taylor, supermodel, and former Celebrity Apprentice contestant took to Twitter and posted a photo of herself, her husband, and her daughter with an ultrasound photo. Taylor and her husband, Nascar driver, Burney Lamar welcomed their newest addition on November 16. Rex Harrison was born at 11:03 a.m, 7 lbs., 5 oz..
