1 Thessalonians 5:24
King James Version
24Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
1 Thessalonians 5:24
24Faithful is He Who is calling you [to Himself] and utterly trustworthy, and He will also do it [fulfill His call by hallowing and keeping you].
Faithful: loyal, reliable
One of the worse things for a person to experience is a betrayal of some kind. Whether the betrayal was done by a person who stole someone or something from you, or a person who blabbed a big secret about you, the act of betrayal can lead to pain. People are human, capable of flaws. When we put all of our eggs in one basket concerning someone whom we think is perfect, we are bound to be let down in some form of another. There was only one person who was perfect-He still is- and His name is Jesus Christ. He is faithful when everyone has gone onto the newest, latest and ‘greatest.’ Jesus Christ died not only so we may share our lives with Him for eternity, it was also so we may have a pretty sweet, decent life down here. Mark 10:30
But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. Some of you who are reading this, GOD has called you to do some great things, but you are frustrated, because nothing seems to be happening. Can I tell you something? If GOD promised, HE will fulfill HIS promise, come what may. GOD is big enough and confident in HIMSELF that HE can bring it to pass. When doubt and unbelief rears its ugly little head, that is nothing but the devil and his underlings trying to sabotage GOD’S amazing plan for your life. Think of it like this: if you are experiencing trouble getting it off of the ground, and you are living a clean life, doing your best trying to live for GOD/Jesus Christ, take it as a sign that you must be doing something right, and the reason why the enemy is ticked off, because he sees you as a threat to his ‘kingdom.’ When you put your trust in GOD/JESUS CHRIST/HOLY GHOST, you put your trust into someone who will keep every dirty secret that you confess to HIM. If HE gave you a word of promise of some sort, it may take days, weeks, months, even years. HE will perform it, bring it to past. Never make the mistake of likening GOD/JESUS CHRIST/HOLY GHOST to a person. You will be highly disappointed in everything you do. The point is that if you can’t trust GOD, then who can you trust? And that type of thinking can lead you to a pretty miserable life. Remember Abraham: he was 90 when GOD promised him a son. It took 10 years, and a big fat mistake on his part and Sarah’s because of impatience, but eventually GOD gave Abraham the son HE promised him. His name was Isaac. GOD promised Abraham that he would be father of many nations. So far HE has kept HIS word. What HE did for Abraham and others, HE will do for you and me. GOD is faithful. We just have to be faithful by waiting on HIM. If you have a hard time with patience, ask GOD to help you with this. HE will be faithful in helping with that, also.
