Selena Gomez Reflects on Past Year, Reveals Some Exciting News

by mini blob

Her star keeps soaring higher and higher, and Selena Gomez can’t help but be overwhelmed at her success over the past year.

The “Wizards of Waverly Place” had several awards show-hosting opportunities, a fun-filled touring schedule, and opened new doors in her acting pursuits.

During a recent interview, Selena gushed about the year’s most memorable moment. “To be honest, it would probably be when my series ended and not in, like, a happy way, but it was kind of like it was a new chapter in my life. I think it was a really interesting time for me and that time in this year was probably my favorite.”

Gomez continued, “My music, for sure, [surprised me], like touring. I definitely was excited to get on the road and be able [to have] my first headlining tour. I was excited to go everywhere and meet my fans and experience different places. To be honest, I didn’t expect the tour to do as well as it did, and we went to Canada and Canada was amazing and made me feel very humbled.”

Selena also noted that she’s open to whatever comes her way in 2012. “I feel like this approach of this year, I wasn’t expecting any of the things that happened. And so I just kind of want to go into the end of this year and the beginning of next year just excited and in a good place and not planning anything.”

While it looked as if she was set for a sibling-less future, Selena Gomez received quite the welcome news recently – she’s going to be a big sister!

The 19-year-old announced that she’s awaiting a little brother or sister via Instagram last Friday (November 25), telling, “Momma and Brian are finally letting me share the news.”

Selena proudly posted a pic of her mom and stepdad sharing a tender moment, adding, “My mommy’s carrying my baby brother or sister. I’m the happiest girl in the world!”

The little one comes after Miss Gomez’s mother, Mandy Dawn Cornett, got divorced when Selena was just 5-years-old before marrying Brian Teefey back in 2006.

In some related news, the judge in Selena’s stalker case declined to issue her a permanent restraining order last week.

According to a report, the Disney dame’s alleged stalker Thomas Brodnicki failed to appear in court last Wednesday (November 23), therefore the judge couldn’t hear his testimony.

Brodnicki is currently being held in a psychiatric facility and has not made any attempt to contact the court on his own behalf.

As it stands now, Selena’s temporary restraining order has been extended until January at which time another hearing will be held.
