I remember it like it was yesterday. I was a young man and I saw that I just was not cut out for school. I was skipping school since I was in six grade and I went just enough so I could pass through to the next grade.
As I got older I always wanted the quick money. Why go to college for four to six years and then have to get a real job. A job that pays you by the hour and you live from check to check. Not me I wanted more and I was going to get more.
I started running numbers when I was in 7th grade. I was making $50.00 a week. 2 c-notes a month was not bad for a twelve year old. As I got older I got into other nefarious activities that brought in real big money. You could say I was the real Superfly. I had an 8 track and a floor model TV in every room in my house. I also had a condo on the other side of town for my women.
I dabbled in a little of everything, but I had to be careful because I was bringing up my niece who unfortunately lost her parents in a plane crash. Since I had this responsibility I wanted to make sure I gave her the best of everything without her knowing I was in the business.
When she was 5 years old she asked me what I did for a living. I told her I was a real estate investor and that one day when she was older this would all be hers to share with me. She told she did not want to share and she wanted it all to herself. I laughed and told her she needed to not be so selfish.
I continued my business for years. I had been in the game a long time and I had really destroyed all my enemies. I had built an army of 3000. My saying was, I employed more men and women than U.S.Steel, however I did not know if that were true or not.
I worked hard over the years to have some legitimate businesses that my niece could run but I still did my main business.
On my niece’s 21st birthday I decided that I would give her my legitimate businesses that we could run as a family and retire from my other businesses. I talked to my niece and let her know. She was really excited as she had just finished college. I gave her a hug and as I turned to walk away I heard a bang and the bullet piercing my shoulder turned me around in a 180, and then I feel to the ground.
I looked up at my niece and asked her why. I thought to myself, I had gotten rid of all my enemies and was never ready for this.
My niece looked down at me and said “I told you I wanted it all to myself and I did not want to share with anybody. The last thing I saw was the bullet coming to my head.
