So may excuses are to blame on the state of the economy when in actuality, the issues or problems may not be a direct impact because of the economy. Many people complain daily, stating their issues and concerns are because of the economy. When in actuality, this is not the case. People are using this excuse over and over again just to blame their lack of motivation or lack of trying to make their situation better. Yes in several instances, the economy is to blame but in most instances, the economy is not to blame. I made a job change from active duty to the civilian world in 2008. Very terrified over the horror stories I would hear of people not able to find a job in this economy, this made me work even harder. I found a job within two weeks. This job was not the job of my dreams and not a job with a salary I was used to, so I even found a part time job to make up for the income. After a couple of months of working two jobs and staying actively involved in filling out job applications, I landed a job with a good salary. This made me ponder, is the economy indeed to blame for everyone’s shortcomings? If everyone remains in a negative state of how are economy is thriving, what type of results will Americans obtain? That is right, negative results. If we as Americans can somehow find it in us to stop blaming the economy for every little issue or concern and instead own up and face the real cause of the issue, Americans may start helping the economy to improve.
If Americans remain more optimistic and positive over the economy, then perhaps more positive results will start to take action. Americans can all start by not putting the blame on the economy when something unfortunate in our lives happen. The politicians are pointing fingers and blaming each other for who made the economy worse. Who cares? Less finger pointing and more action starting with positive thinking and positive ideas is what is of need to start making strides with this way of thinking. How about the news and media showing more positive initiatives happening with the current economy instead of showing how the economy is getting worse? Negative thoughts and thinking will breed negative outcomes. The state of the economy was not caused by one person. The state of the economy was of cause by negative actions by many. Let us Americans start by making more honest, moral, and better decisions and work as a team in America to turn this economy around for the next generations to come.
