The title may seem a little contradictory, but not if you really think about it. If you do not take care of yourself you are not setting a good example for your family members, your health may suffer which can shorten the time you will have with them, you may not be able to respond in an emergency when they need you the most, your quality time may be sacrificed because you do not have the energy to share with them, and I could go on but I am sure you get the picture.
Why does it seem that when it comes to setting our priorities it is often our own health that gets put off until later? You probably know someone who has put it off until it was too late. Even our lawn care, home and vehicle maintenance, and television time seems to take a front seat to health.
If you think I am just talking about you, try taking a look around you the next time you are out shopping or at a public event. Do the people around you look healthy, or does the majority seem to be at or nearing what you would consider to be obese? We did not used to be this way. Find some old pictures in the history books and look at how people appeared back then and you will see far fewer that would fall into this category.
Our technology of today has made us lazy, and has removed many of the nutrients that were once readily available in the foods we eat. It is up to you to overcome what our society has gotten us into.
The trend towards obesity in our country has led us down a path of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure, and even higher medical costs. It is time to put an end to that trend, and it must be done through a conscious effort made at the individual level.
There are groups out there placing the blame for our poor health on fast food companies and schools, but you know as well as I do that we are the people who decide what we do and what we eat every single day of our lives. We are not forced to eat a grease filled burger and extra salty, oil saturated fries every afternoon. These are the choices we make as individuals.
The only way we are going to end the trend of obesity and obesity related illness and health costs is to make the decision ourselves to not become a statistic, commit to our health, and thus succeed in putting an end to the trend.
The help is available, not to put fast food companies out of business, but to put ourselves at the top of the priority list. Team Beachbody, the trainers and the coaches are here to make a difference in your life.
Team Beachbody has brought us fitness programs such as Power Half Hour®, Power 90®, P90X®, P90X2®, Insanity®, Hip Hop Abs®, Insanity Asylum®, Rev Abs®, Slim in 6®, Shakeology®, and Body Gospel®, plus many more programs and the nutritionals, support equipment, and support structure needed to succeed in reaching your fitness goals.
I am an Independent Team Beachbody Coach and I believe in the products and programs that I represent and it is a good feeling to be able to say that with all honesty. I personally use Shakeology® daily, and in my first 30 days of working out with the 10-Minute Trainer® I lost 15 pounds, went from a size 36 jeans to a size 32, lowered my cholesterol, and my blood pressure, and found myself no longer needing a CPAP machine to breathe at night!
Becoming a coach helped me in a far deeper way than just giving me an opportunity to earn extra money. By becoming a coach I get discounts on the products I use every day which is a big help because I use the nutritionals (vitamins) and the Shakeology®, and it also has helped me to get and stay motivated with my own fitness goals. I want to be able to show people that it works, not just tell them!
When you are ready to decide that not having time for your health just doesn’t cut it anymore, look around my site and feel free to contact me for any assistance you might need in selecting a program that fits your needs. You will notice that you also have the opportunity to become an Independent Team Beachbody Coach, and I highly recommend this. If you decide to do so, please use this link.
